Marmot has built performance outdoor products for over 30 years. Marmot's product design process begins in the crucible of outdoor professionals. Mountain guides, outdoor education schools, and ski areas in the US, Canada, and Western Europe directly participate in providing guidance, testing, and critical evaluation to Marmot products. They wear Marmot clothing and packs everyday and test them to destruction-and that constantly improves the breed.

Marmot formalizes this design process in the four Marmot Testing Centers located in Skiers Lodge, La Grave, France; Glenmore Lodge Training Center, Aviemore, Scotland; Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Jackson, WY; and Exum Mountain Guides, Jackson, WY. These four locations regularly receive in-line and prototype products and aggressively test them against objective criteria seeking to measure comfort, versatility, durability and performance. That test information goes straight to the Marmot Design Department and Product Managers for evaluation and response. The result is time-tested, work-tested clothing and gear that you can simply rely on.
