Free Ground Shipping on orders over $50.00 in the USA
Within the USA our standard shipping method is FedEx, USPS or UPS. But we mainly ship USPS if you choose the FREE Ground option. All orders usually ship within 24 hours Monday - Friday. Our shipping cutoff for express shipments is 2:00 pm PST (4:30 pm EST). Orders made after this time will be shipped the next business day.
We also offer International shipping for our friends abroad. We use USPS Global Express and USPS Priority. See all our shipping rates here.

Duties and Taxes
International orders may be subject to duties, excise, handling, V.A.T. and taxes. The recipient is responsible for payment of these and other fees. We can deliver to post office boxes in the USA and other countries. Therefore, items addressed to post office boxes for any country listed above can be accepted if USPS Global Express has the address information prior to ordering. Please note that the Spanish notation for post office boxes is "Apartado." Those items destined for Spain with 'Apartado" included in the address will be delivered if USPS Global Express has the information prior to ordering. Please check with your local Postal Center.

Return & Exchange Policy
Don't yank the tags off your new item yet! Do not tear or rip the packaging your new item was shipped in!
First of all, Returns Happen. Here are some guidelines.You are assisting us by neatly replacing the item into the packaging of your return or exchange. We do not have replacement bags on hand from each manufacturer. Remember, we are a small business and we professionally repackage your return item for re-sale. Think of the waste and pollution to produce new bags using factories, then distributing to stores like us. We encourage reusing the bags if needed. A reminder to keep all items clean by avoiding everything.
We understand that buying mail-order can be filled with uncertainty. That’s why Steep Planet provides you with a “No-Hassle” 30 day satisfaction guarantee. If you find that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will set up a return. You are entitled to a full refund of the original purchase price of the returned item(s) minus our $7.00 shipping fee. You will be charged our initial shipping fee of $7.00 if your return brings the grand total of original sale transaction below the $50.00 FREE Shipping promotion. If it comes back and we shipped it for FREE, we keep some money to cover that expense.
Please contact us for a Return Authorization Number within the first 10 days of receiving your purchase. All returns must be physically returned/exchanged to Steep Planet within 30 days of your order. Any order returned to Steep Planet without the RMA# will receive store credit only. We would like to hold fast to this policy as many items we sell have a seasonal life span on the shelf. It's like getting back a short sleeve cycling jersey in January... Please keep the product in it original unused condition, unworn, in original manufacturer's plastic bag keeping all tags attached. We will not take back any item if it has been worn, the tags removed or without the RMA Number.
Please note: All Sale items are subject to a $3.00 restocking fee per item. This fee covers the restocking and relisting of the item(s). We will not accept returns on Sunglasses, Goggles, Swimwear, Underwear, Food products, or *Special Order items. We do not take back used items for refund or exchange. All cancelled orders are subject to a 3% Cancellation Fee. We are charged 3% per order total by the CC companies. So please make sure you want the item(s).
Special Ordered items are denoted by an (*) Asterisk in the description. These items are ordered from the Manufacturer, shipping time is typically 5 to 7 working days. These items are non-returnable. In order to properly process and expedite your return, please follow these instructions:
- 1. E-mail our Customer Service Department (lisa@steepplanet.com) for an RMA Number (Return Merchandise Authorization). Please do not ship prior to receiving the RMA. Let us know the Steep Planet Order Number and reason for return. Please indicate if you would like a refund or an exchange. We will contact you via phone for availability of your exchange. You will find your order number on your receipt.
- 2. Steep Planet will issue you an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization). Please write this number on the outside of the package so we can correctly process it in the Return Department.
- 3. Re-pack your return in a sturdy shipping carton or mailing envelope using indestructible packing tape. Please avoid insulated envelopes. Please pack it in the original manufacturer’s plastic packaging with all tags (attached), and a copy of the receipt. Please return only items that have not been washed or worn, other than trying on to determine size. FEDERAL Law requires all customers trying on jerseys and especially shorts/bib-shorts and tights to wear undergarments. Put something on before trying it on for size. Any deviation will result in a delay of refund and possible cleaning fees. Please do not ship the item in the original retail box(alone) as they were not designed for the stresses of shipping.
- 4. After Steps 1,2,3 are complete,

- 6. You are responsible for return shipping charges. Steep Planet also cannot be held responsible for any items lost or damaged in shipping.
- 7. Please allow the usual banking time for refunds to appear on your credit card statement. Often this can be 10 to 15 days to process. Steep Planet does not accept COD’s on returns.
- 8. If you paid by Credit Card, credit will be applied to the card used to place the original order. Please check the date on the credit card originally used. If the card is expired, the credit will not process.
- 9. We do not accept personal checks.
- 10. If you are sizing shoes or clothing to see if it fits, please don’t wear, use, "demo" or "try" on a ride or take outside your house. Try them on in the comfort of your home, with a clean sock or brief. Please don’t bolt cleats on the shoes if you are thinking of returning. Shoes or Clothing that have been worn, washed or missing hang tags shall not be returned to Steep Planet.

Special Orders
Like a good Retail store, Steep Planet continues to offer quality service with the best product at a competitive price. Sometimes we may not have the exact model, size or color you are looking for. And, like the physical store downtown, you could order the desired item from the manufacturer and the store would call you once it arrives.
We too provide this service. Items that are not in stock can be ordered (depending on availability). We use the asterisk ( * ) to denote a Special Order. You may see the asterisk next to an item when selecting a size or color on the drop down menu. If you select the item with an asterisk, it is a Special Order. These items fall under a different set of rules than in-line products.
These items do not show absolute availability, but we manage the manufacturer’s warehouse inventory numbers to the best of our ability. However, what was available yesterday may not be available today.

- The Special Order is paid for at check out. We do not order any items before they are paid for.
- If an item is not available in the size, model or color, you will be contacted via email and offered a solution. You may choose another similar item that is available, or a refund.
- Special Order items are ground shipped to Steep Planet, then, depending on your time frame you have the option at check-out to expedite from Steep Planet. There is no expedited shipping from the manufacturer, unless discussed prior to the sale, and shipping fees are paid for by you. Please call or email us if you need something right away.
- There are NO returns or exchanges for the Special Order items. We suggest you do the homework necessary to insure a proper fit, and color selection. Please see Size Charts, call or email us for sizing info or other questions, we are happy to help.
- If you order an in-line item and a Special Order item, we will wait for the Special Order to arrive and ship complete.
- We want you to be thrilled about your purchase and we will try to accommodate requests, ideas and time frames to the best of our ability.

We also make it easy to use online services like PayPal as well as Google Checkout. Please see these services for convenient and secure payment transactions. Signing up takes about 5 minutes.
Steep Planet follows the policies of our manufacturers. In-line seasonal products are listed at suggested retail pricing set by the manufacturer. We have a few sales per season on full priced items, so sign up for our email and get in the loop. Steep Planet always has items on sale so check your favorite brands, and the clearance rack often.
